HAIR EXTENSION MAINTENANCE

WASHING

Proper hair maintenance is very important in order to prevent tangling & to preserve the longevity of the hair. Hair tangling must be dealt with at the onset in order to prevent irreparable future damage.

It is important to *brush your hair extensions at least 2 or 3 times a day.

ALWAYS brush your hair extensions thoroughly before washing & also during the drying process.

Dirt & sweat build-up may cause tangling. Properly washing your hair is absolutely necessary.

DO NOT apply excessive amounts of water to hair at one time. This will cause the hair extensions to swell & tangle. Apply water gradually until the hair is fully wet.

Apply *shampoo starting at the roots & gradually work your way down to the ends.

DO NOT later the hair in big, sweeping motions as this can cause tangling. Wash the hair gently combing your fingers from the roots to the ends.

Rinse through thoroughly & apply *conditioner starting from the mid-shaft of the hair to the ends. Run your fingers gently through & rinse.

DO NOT allow the conditioner to touch the roots of the hair extensions or scalp as this may cause the extensions to slip.

When drying hair, get the excess water out by grabbing the roots & squeezing down to the ends.

Apply hair *treatment from the mid-shaft of the hair to the ends. Hair treatment should be applied at least 2-3 times a week.

Tie the hair in a low bun with the treatment still in. Wear a shower cap & leave the treatment in for 15+ minutes. Afterwards you may rinse with cold water.

STYLING

Brush your hair thoroughly, starting from the bottom & working your way up before blow drying or styling. It is best to air dry hair if possible. If blow drying is necessary, be sure to:

-Use low heat & dry roots to ends.

-DO NOT use high heat as this may melt the glue bonds.

-Use correct styling products.

PRECAUTION MEASURES

NEVER sleep with your hair wet. This will cause the extensions to tangle with your own hair overnight.

ALWAYS tie or braid your hair before going into chlorine or salt water. Salt/chlorine water may change the hair color.

NEVER color, perm, or chemically treat the hair extensions without consulting a beauty professional.
